About This Role

Fueling our commitments to staff development and executive search excellence, the Talent Development Manager draws on a deep knowledge of talent recruitment best practices, professional development, and adult learning to drive training and development at our firm.  The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, results-focused, and can get things done. This is a full-time position based in Seattle, with the option to work remotely and travel occasionally to Seattle.

Here’s what you’ll do in this newly developed role

  • Develops and facilitates onboarding and new hire training for search consultants and other roles focused on delivering outstanding executive search results for our clients.
  • Defines multi-faceted career progression paths that encompass knowledge, skills, competencies, and milestones necessary to advance at the firm.
  • Designs and maintains a database of reference materials to support knowledge sharing and alignment.
  • Tracks professional development metrics.
  • Partners with leaders to identify internal candidates to fill roles within the firm.
  • Participates in sourcing for internal roles; developing and facilitating strategies to identify and attract high performing/high potential applicants.
  • Facilitates consultant hiring processes, ensuring interviewer preparedness and a superior candidate experience.
  • Provides guidance and facilitates initiatives that drive search consultant effectiveness.

Do you check the box on these ideal qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree plus professional experience as an OD, Training & Development, and/or Executive Talent Acquisition professional.
  • At least four years’ leadership experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying principles of adult learning.
  • Familiarity with LMS and ATS systems.
  • Ability to design and facilitate compelling, substantive training materials.
  • Ability to manage and measure the development process: communicating a shared vision for success, setting clear objectives and measures, monitoring progress and results, and designing feedback loops.
  • Polished oral and written communication skills; speaks and writes clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles, gets messages across that have the desired effect.
  • Ability to actively work without frequent interruption or distraction during standard business hours within the Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones, with some flexibility to work outside of standard hours on occasion.
